Patination of the First Bronze

Finally the exciting day arrived. Yesterday I travelled to Fundere Foundry in Sunshine, Melbourne to collect the first bronze of my figurine "Kickin' Back". It looked fab in its pure bronze state - but I decided I'd like to see it in a classic dark bronze colouration - so patination began with the application of a sulphur solution and the flame gun. I watched as it became progressively darker. When it was a light charcoal colour - the wax coat was added to the hot sculpture - and even without the polishing - it looked great.
